Mission 771 / 2-Way Inverted Driver Bookshelf speakers, two units, manufactured in 1990, in very good condition and tested and working, weighing 10 kg, with no extras.
Description from the seller
The Mission 771 is a well-known, compact 2-way hi-fi bookshelf speaker (standmount) introduced around the turn of the century (late 90s / early '00) by the renowned British audio brand Mission.
The speaker is known for its open and detailed mids and treble, a housing with real wood veneer and innovative techniques for that time, such as an Aerogel mid/bass driver.
Specifications :
Housing type: Bass reflex (with the bass port on the back)
Frequency range: 75 Hz – 20,000 Hz
Sensitivity: 87 dB
Nominal impedance: 8 Ohms
Recommended amplifier power: 25 to 100 Watt
Dimensions (W x H x D): 17.2 x 31.0 x 22.9 cm
Connection: Suitable for bi-wiring or bi-amping
Sound Characteristic & Placement
Strengths: The Mission 771 delivers the typical "English sound": a warm musicality, a wide sound image and an excellently defined voice area.
Weaknesses: Due to the compact size and frequency limitation (up to 75 Hz), deep bass reproduction is limited.
Placement: Because the bass port is on the back, the speaker reacts strongly to the distance to the wall. Slightly closer to the wall can amplify the bass, but do not put them completely in an angle to prevent a 'boomy' sound. They perform best in smaller to medium-sized rooms on solid speaker stands.
