Description from the seller
Norev 1:12 Porsche 917K Hockenheim 1970 12 Van Lennep – Limited 1 of 200
Offered: An impressive and rare masterwork in large format: the Porsche 917K (Kurzheck) from 1970. This superb miniature is produced by top manufacturer Norev in the imposing scale 1:12.
This is a strictly limited and individually numbered edition of only 200 pieces worldwide!
During the Interserie race of 1970 at the Hockenheimring, the Norev-recreated Porsche 917K with chassis number #917-021 wore a livery inspired by the famous “Hippie”-917 (chassis number #917-042), which had taken part a few weeks earlier in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and finished second in the overall standings.
Dutch driver Gijs van Lennep qualified the car, which had been completely rebuilt after a serious accident at Le Mans, on the fourth starting position. He finished the race in second place behind Vic Elford’s McLaren M6B. The Norev model is an homage to the original, which not only impresses with its remarkable successes but also with its unparalleled elegance.
Shipping:
• Given the size and exclusivity, this lot is packed with the utmost care and well protected.
• Shipping is conducted with full Track & Trace included.
