Blue Celestine group from Sakoany, Katsepy, Madagascar, with fine crystal clusters on a matrix, weighing 223 g and measuring 76 × 65 × 42 mm.
Description from the seller
From our selection of collectible minerals we offer a splendid group of Celestine crystals from Sakoany, Katsepy, Madagascar.
Additionally, it is characterized by a dense association of tabular crystals of the typical sky-blue color, perfectly transparent and arranged on matrix in an aesthetically pleasing and harmonious way, which enhances its aesthetic value and mineralogical significance. The specimen stands out for the quality of crystallization and for the overall aesthetic balance, with features that enhance its natural structure and visual impact.
Celestine is a strontium sulfate (SrSO4) whose name derives from the Latin caelestis, 'heavenly', precisely for the characteristic pale blue color that often distinguishes it, due to small impurities or color centers in the crystal lattice. Madagascar, in particular the Boeny region, has in recent decades become one of the world's most important sources of Celestine for collection, with geodes and druses that can reach considerable sizes. Celestine is also the main industrial source of strontium, used in fireworks and special glasses.
This is an ideal specimen for mineral collections, display, and for those who appreciate the natural beauty of minerals, also in the field of crystal therapy and lithotherapy, according to the properties traditionally associated with the mineral species.
All minerals are 100% natural and untreated, except for rare exceptions always indicated in the description. Photographs are taken with professional lighting to best enhance colors and details; however, slight tonal variations may occur depending on the device or ambient light.
Shipping is carried out via reliable express couriers, with fast delivery (in many cases 1-2 working days in Europe), tracked and insured shipping and professional and safe packing, as confirmed by customer reviews. Deliveries can also occur the day after payment depending on destination.
It is possible to accumulate multiple purchases and receive them in a single shipment, even from auctions with different deadlines, simply contacting us to organize the consolidation. For important pieces, direct delivery by appointment to home or at major European fairs is also available.
