Description from the seller

A refined and rare pair of antique napkin rings in solid 800 silver, finely handmade and kept in their original vintage pink ruched satin case. The piece is in impeccable condition as it has never been used, preserving a splendid luster and its original patina of age. The rings feature an elegant raised beaded edge and a centrally engraved cartouche richly hand-inscribed with the given names "Maria" and "Carlo". The set tells a fascinating tale of import and luxury of yesteryear: the napkin rings were manufactured in Germany, as evidenced by the official state marks (Crescent Moon and Imperial Crown) stamped on the metal along with the silver fineness mark "800" and the silversmith's mark "GK". They were subsequently imported into Italy and marketed by the historic and prestigious jewelry firm "A. Rovere & C." of Cividale (Friuli), whose mark stamped in gold letters is beautifully preserved inside the lid of the box. Conditions: Excellent, never used. Original case intact with normal and light signs of age only on the exterior. Age: Late 19th / Early 20th century (Circa 1890 – 1910). Material: Solid 800 silver (stamped). Origin: Germany (manufacture) / Imported and sold by Gioielleria A. Rovere & C. (Cividale del Friuli, Italy). Dimensions of each ring: Diameter 5.0 cm – Band height/width 3.5 cm. Total weight (with case): 205 grams. Colors: Silver / Inner case pink antique.
