NAD 6220 Dolby BC Noise Reduction cassette deck, physical condition good, tested and working, weighs 3.9 kg.
Description from the seller
The NAD 6220 is a minimalist and thoughtfully designed cassette deck from the mid-1980s. In keeping with NAD's well-known philosophy, this deck strips away unnecessary features to focus entirely on sound quality. Thanks to the integration of Dolby B and Dolby C noise reduction, it delivers an unusually quiet and clear playback. The unit uses a high-quality permalloy head and a mechanism suitable for all tape types (including metal tape), resulting in a tight and musical analog sound.
Specifications:
• Tape Speed: 4.75 cm/s
• Heads: 1 x Permalloy record/playback head, 1 x ferrite erase head
• Tape Type: Suitable for Normal (Type I), CrO2 (Type II), and Metal (Type IV)
• Noise Reduction: Dolby B and Dolby C NR
• Frequency Response: 35 Hz to 16 kHz (Metal tape)
• Signal to Noise Ratio: 65 dB (Dolby B), 74 dB (Dolby C)
• Wow and Flutter: 0.06% WRMS
The NAD operates perfectly.
