Schuco Charly 1005 mechanical tin toy motorcycle, circa 1950s, in very good condition, single item, without original packaging, with a wind‑up key; underside bears the marking 'U.S. Zone Germany' and the mechanism works perfectly.
Description from the seller
This is the Schuco Charly 1005, an iconic mechanical toy motorcycle made of lithographed tin. This type of wind-up toy was originally produced from 1952 by the famous German toy manufacturer Schuco in Nuremberg.
The toy is equipped with a high-quality clockwork mechanism that can be set in motion with the included winding key. Once the engine is running, the mechanism allows the rider to make dynamic steering movements or lean in circles. This is an early-50s piece because the marking "U.S. Zone Germany" is on the underside.
The mechanism works perfectly. The key is included.
