Region of Origin: Sakai / Izumi (Osaka, Japan)
This hunting knife comes from the Sakai region (historically Izumi). This Japanese region is world-famous and has for more than 600 years delivered the very highest quality in handmade knives and swords. The craftsmanship from this region is known for extreme precision and long durability.
Unique German-Japanese Collaboration
This knife is the result of a unique cross-cultural fusion: it combines the centuries-old Japanese forging tradition from Sakai with refined, ergonomic design influences from the renowned German knife designer Ernst Siebeneicher-Hellwig. This makes tradition and modern user-friendliness fit together beautifully.
Top-quality blade
The razor-sharp blade features a core of superior Japanese VG-10 steel, flanked on both sides by 34 to 36 layers of rust-resistant Japanese Damascus steel. This provides exceptional sharpness, excellent edge retention, and a beautiful, unique wavy Damascus pattern on the steel.
