AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Here is a beautiful tooth of Otodus sokolowi, a relatively uncommon and sought-after species by collectors, from Boujdoor, Morocco, and from the Eocene level. This species is an integral part of the lineage that led to the legendary Otodus Megalodon, the largest shark of all time. You can see in the last photo where Otodus sokolowi sat in this evolutionary chain, between Otodus auriculatus and Otodus angustidens.

The offered tooth is of good quality; it is a lateral tooth, the enamel is of good quality; one of the two lateral cusps is partially missing but could be repaired, the tip is good, the crest is very nice, the serrations on both cutting edges are good, very good root. This tooth measures 92 mm long by 63 mm wide, which is a large size.
