P J Maul - Scale (2) - Egg scale - Cast brass, Cast iron, Bronze - Egg scale

Two egg scales from the period 1940 - 1950.

Made by the well-known scale manufacturer, P J Maul from Hamburg, Germany.

The first model is the type 'Concav', this is noted on the frame but is difficult to photograph. This model is made of steel, the cap is aluminum.

The second model is identical to the previous one, the initials 'J M' are stamped into the frame at the rear. This is also hard to see. This model is made of steel and copper, the cap is also copper.

Both scales are foldable; this was convenient for dealers who took them to local markets. They show obviously minimal signs of use, which gives them a nice patina.

Take a good look at the photos, you can see what you are bidding on.

Will be carefully packed and insured shipped.
