Wine cooler - for two bottles - Silverplated - Champagne cooler

Beautiful oval-shaped double wine cooler in silvered brass. The wine cooler has three compartments: two for bottles and a central compartment for ice. The advantage of this system with separate compartments is that the bottles are cooled evenly without coming into contact with the ice water. They are not only at the perfect temperature for serving but they are also dry. When cooling only one bottle of wine it is convenient to place a bottle of water in the other compartment. The wine cooler is equipped with two handles to facilitate moving. On both sides of the cooler is an engraved coat of arms with a clawing lion. France, second half of the 20th century.

The wine cooler is in good vintage condition with signs of use and marks characteristic of the age and use of the object.
