Description from the seller
Witty and ironic, Miniteca is the table lamp designed by Ron Gilad for Flos. A lamp that aims to animate space with a surreal and playful spirit. Miniteca creates an atmosphere that updates a historic object that seemed to have been relegated to the attic among old furniture. An object with a strong character, this lamp is also a tribute to the historic bedside lamp, but also the poetic statement of its definitive sunset. The designer Ron Gilad did not want to transform or take inspiration from the shapes of the historic model, but decided to take it as it is, putting it in quotation marks as if it were the quotation from a poem. Without creating a new lamp the designer decided to preserve the shape of the bedside lamp under a glass case, complete with a plaque engraved with the name of the style. The sensation, looking at Miniteca, is that of a museum piece to which one wants to pay homage. Miniteca playfully offers these atmospheres, adapting them to today, presenting itself as a lamp that condenses the past to look toward the future, thanks also to the new generation of halogen Energy Saving. The models offered are currently represented by three different historical styles: Victorian Grandeur, Renaissance Cupola and Ottoman Tulip.
