Pair of handmade wrought-iron hanging lanterns in a rustic Gothic medieval style, dating to 1930–1940, with open hexagonal frames, decorative scrolls, and a central downward lamp holder; dimensions 32 cm high, 20 cm wide, 15 cm deep, in good condition with age-related signs.
Description from the seller
Pair of vintage wrought-iron hanging lanterns, handmade and characterized by a rustic/medieval Gothic style.
The lanterns feature an open hexagonal framework, completed by decorative upper scrolls (iron curls) and twisted, protruding tips on the sides of the upper crown. Inside each cage the central bulb holder oriented downward is visible, typical of porch or outdoor chandeliers.
The approximate era of this pair of lanterns places them in the first half of the 20th century (roughly between 1920 and 1950).
• The metal patina: The deep but uniform oxidation and the type of iron wear are consistent with an object that is about 70 to 100 years old, likely spent outdoors in a sheltered environment (such as a loggia or porch).
They are therefore not authentic medieval pieces, but excellent handcrafted 20th-century items that faithfully replicate their charm and aesthetics.
Dimensions: height 32 cm, width 20 cm
The items will be packed with great care and shipped via tracked mail.
