Description from the seller

Rare 3-Piece Art Deco Garniture Set – Brentleigh Ware (Howard Pottery) – Marbled Glaze – England, c. 1930

Description:
Beautiful and extremely rare three-piece Art Deco ceramic garniture set from the well-known English manufacturer Brentleigh Ware (produced by Howard Pottery Co. Ltd., Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire).

This iconic set dates from the 1930s and is in pristine condition.

The garniture consists of a central faceted lid vase (potiche) and two flanking geometrical goblet vases.

What makes this set particularly unique is the spectacular marbled glaze. The warm, deep tones of orange, terracotta, ochre, and white masterfully mimic precious natural stone. While Brentleigh Ware later became famous for floral relief pottery, this set represents the sleek, geometric heyday of early Art Deco.

Condition:
• Exterior: In excellent, undamaged vintage condition. Completely free from chips, cracks, or restorations on visible pottery. The lid of the central vase is completely intact.

• Interior: Minimal, normal signs of age and use (lime residues inside from use), inherent to antique pottery of almost a century old.

• Marking: The underside bears the stamped factory mark "Brentleigh Ware – Made in England" and the impressed model number 378.

Please study the photos carefully, as they form an essential part of the description.

A splendid and authentic showpiece for the connoisseur of high-end Art Deco interiors and British collectible pottery.
