Kolderstok - Model ship - Duyfken - Rare model ship from the VOC

Handmade model ship Duyfken – VOC – approx. 820 work hours
For sale: a very detailed, fully hand-built model of the Duyfken, the famous Dutch VOC ship from the early 17th century.
Approximately 820 hours have been spent on this model ship. This is visible in the enormous amount of detail: the wooden hull, rigging, masts, sails, lines, cannons, rails, ornaments and flags are each carefully developed. The ship is not comparable to a standard decorative model, but is truly a remarkable piece of artisanal model making.
The Duyfken originally sailed for the VOC and is historically famous for reaching the Australian coast in 1606 under the command of Willem Janszoon.
The model is in perfect condition and will be delivered including the wooden stand as shown in the photos.

Duyfken was one of the first Dutch ships to reach Australia. The ship was at the cradle of Dutch exploration of the southern seas.
