Hand-thrown and shaped ceramic vase by Martina Corti, made in Italy in 2020 or later, with pink tones on cream stoneware and a Saggar-fired surface bearing impressions of natural materials.
Description from the seller
Height: 10 cm
A vase shaped and hand-turned, with rosy-pink tones on a body of stoneware clay in a cream chamotte color at 5%.
On the surface of the vase you can notice impressions of flowers, fruit, vegetables, coffee, sugar, shells.
The piece was created using the Saggar process. This technique is characterized by its spectacular and unpredictable aesthetic due to organic materials impressed on the surface.
The piece was fired in two firings.
There is nothing toxic or dangerous that could leak; this vase is for decorative purposes only, do not put water inside. Clean with a dry cloth.
Remember, this is not factory-made mass-produced ceramics; each vase is individual. All pieces are entirely handcrafted, turned and decorated in my studio in Lecco, Italy.
Being handcrafted, there may be slight variations in size and color compared to the photos and among the different pieces of the same series.
