Martina Corti’s contemporary handmade ceramic vase, made in Lombardy, Italy, dates from 2020 onwards and features a Saggar-fired surface with organic impressions.
Description from the seller
Height: 10 cm
A hand-shaped and hand-turned vase, with rosy tones on a cream chamotte-colored stoneware body at 5%.
On the surface of the vase you can notice impressions of flowers, fruit, vegetables, coffee, sugar, and shells.
The piece was created using the Saggar process. This technique is characterized by its spectacular and unpredictable aesthetics produced by organic materials pressed onto the surface.
The piece was fired in two firings.
There is nothing toxic or dangerous that could leak out; this vase is for decorative purposes only, do not put water inside. Clean with a dry cloth.
Remember, this is not factory-made mass-produced ceramics; each vase is individual. All pieces are entirely hand-molded, turned, and decorated in my studio in Lecco, Italy.
Being handmade, there may be slight variations in size and color compared to the photos and among different pieces of the same series.
