Description from the seller
Document with handwritten signature of Luis Carrero Blanco
Original historical piece that includes the autograph and handwritten signature of Luis Carrero Blanco (1904–1973), admiral of the navy and one of the most determining political figures in the contemporary history of Spain and in the Franco dictatorship.
Red ink seal from the Undersecretariat of the Presidency of the Government with the official coat of arms of the era perfectly stamped.
A man of Franco's closest trust and the political brain of the regime for decades, Carrero Blanco held top-tier positions in the State: Undersecretary of the Presidency since 1941, Minister of the Presidency from 1951 and Vice President in 1967. In June 1973 he was appointed President of the Government, positioned as the key figure intended to ensure the institutional continuity of the regime. His term was cut short six months later, on December 20, 1973, in the historic attack carried out by the terrorist group ETA in Madrid (“Operación Ogro”), a crucial event that marked the course toward the subsequent democratic Transition.
A document of great interest for collectors of contemporary Spanish history, military history, period documents and autographs of historic leaders.
Complete and in good condition. A lovely piece for collection and Spanish history. Period original. Excellent piece with no reserve price. Great opportunity.
