AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

A beautiful first edition Diesis sofa by B&B Italia, designed by Antonio Citterio and Paolo Nava in 1979.

One of B&B Italia’s most recognisable designs, combining a highly architectural frame with exceptionally soft and comfortable upholstery.

This example is upholstered in beautiful, high quality soft black leather. The generously proportioned cushions are thickly filled with down, giving the sofa its characteristic relaxed and luxurious appearance.

The construction is a particularly impressive part of the Diesis design. The precisely modelled support structure consists of die cast aluminium components combined with tubular steel, creating the distinctive exposed frame for which the model is known. The frame is finished with thick black saddle leather, which contrasts beautifully with the softer leather of the cushions.

A fantastic example of Italian design, where the technical construction is deliberately left visible and becomes an important part of the overall appearance.

Please see the fotos as part of the description.

There are some signs of age; one corner of the armrest the saddle leather is open, this is the only thing you can notice. There is a small hole at the back bottom side of the seating cushion and there are some repairs to the underside of the armrests. Furthermore the sofa is still in really good shape and still feels very exclusive.
