Pair of Eyeball Space Age wall sconces – Brushed aluminum – 1970s
Authentic pair of vintage light fixtures with Space Age design emblematic of the 1970s. With their swiveling spherical globes and brushed aluminum finish, these two pieces bring an elegant retro-futuristic touch to a vintage, industrial, or contemporary interior.
Features:
* Era: 1970s, circa 1970–1975
* Style: Space Age, retro-futuristic, Mid-Century Modern
* Origin: French design, in the spirit of Aluminor models
* Materials: brushed aluminum, metal elements and beige polymer side spacers
* Approximate dimensions:
* Total height: 22 cm
* Globe diameter: 14 cm
* Depth: 15 cm
Operation and installation:
Both fixtures have swiveling globes to direct light where needed. Thanks to their design, they can be wall-mounted or used as desk or bed-side table lamps.
They retain their original wiring and are equipped with brass and Bakelite sockets compatible with E27 screw-in bulbs. Bulbs are not included. One of the sconces retains its original metal wall-mounting plate.
Condition:
Good overall vintage condition, with a nice brushed aluminum finish. Some micro-scratches and light signs of use are present, in keeping with the pieces’ age. No significant deformation or major globe denting.
The photographs are an integral part of the description and help assess the condition.
A beautiful pair of vintage luminaires for fans of Space Age design and 1970s decor.
