Description from the seller
This edition of the Volume “the Apocalypse” was realized on the occasion of the Jubilee 2000 in a limited edition of 975/975 and seventy-five numbered copies from I/LXXV to LXXV/LXXV for the whole world.
The work includes the original translation of the text and the introduction by Bruno Forte, ten color plates hors texte and twelve black-and-white illustrations in the text, drawn from original drawings specifically created for this edition by Ugo Nespolo.
The composition of the texts according to the ancient manual process, with Garamont 24 font, and the printing on the typographic press were carried out at the Atelier du Livre of the Imprimerie Nationale de France, on fine BFK Rives 100% cotton paper gr. 270 cm 45×32.5, produced by Cartiere d'Arches especially for this edition.
The ten hors texte plates were printed with a special technique on BFK Rives 100% cotton paper, gr. 400, at the Stamperia d'Arte “L'Incisione” of Corbetta - Milan.
The graphic project was curated by Cdm/associati of Udine. The stitching, binding and the cover of the volume in calf leather hand-stained in blue with gold inscriptions were carried out by the artisanal bookbinder “L'Arte del Libro” of Todi.
On the cover of the volume has been placed a copy of L’Angelo dell’ Apocalisse by Ugo Nespolo, the original twelve-color lithography on steel plate coated in 24 K gold, cm. 40.5×29.5, made at the Stamperia d'Arte “L'Incisione”, in a limited edition of 975 copies numbered 1/975 to 975/975 and seventy-five copies numbered from I/LXXV to LXXV/LXXV.
Each copy of the work L’Angelo dell’ Apocalisse is numbered and signed by the Author and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity and Provenance.
