Mid‑century brass and wood valet stand by Estilo Maison du Monde (France), dating to 1960–1970, with a brass column on a tripod base with wheels, a wooden hanging top, a circular wooden tray framed in brass, a metal pants rack, and overall dimensions of 117 cm high, 53 cm wide and 43 cm deep, in good used condition with minor signs of age.
Description from the seller
This elegant mid-20th-century night stand/slim valet reflects perfectly the functional sophistication characteristic of Madison design and decorative furniture inspired by the international modernist taste of the era. Made in golden brass combined with details of noble wood, it stands out for its clean lines, refined presence, and a practical conception aimed at keeping clothing perfectly organized.
The structure features a slender central brass shaft rising from a tripod base provided with small wheels, making it easy to move. At the top it incorporates an anatomically shaped wooden hanger carefully molded to preserve the natural shape of jackets, sport coats, or coats. Just below is a circular wooden-lined tray framed by a brass ring, ideal for placing watches, cufflinks, keys, coins, or small personal items.
At mid-height there is a practical metal pants support, whose triangular shape helps keep garments aired and wrinkle-free. The ensemble is characterized by the harmonious combination of the wood’s natural warmth and the brass’s elegant sheen, a pairing highly valued in refined interiors of the mid-20th century.
Its sober, balanced design, free from ornamental excess, makes it as decorative as it is functional—perfect for bedrooms, dressing rooms, or vintage-inspired suites. Beyond its everyday utility, this night stand/slim valet constitutes an attractive design element that evokes masculine elegance and the refinement typical of high-quality interiors from that period.
Certified shipping and good packaging.
