AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Bronze ring with circular bezel and radiating shoulder decoration – 10th–15th century AD
A bronze ring with a raised circular bezel and shoulders decorated with fan-shaped groups of incised lines. The motif on the upper face is heavily worn and partly covered by deposits, preventing a secure identification. The shoulder decoration is more visible and emphasises the transition from hoop to head. Brown and green tones cover the surface, with abrasion and reduced definition on the reliefs. The radiating shoulder incisions are an important surviving feature even where the face itself is difficult to read. Their arrangement guides attention towards the circular disc and adds detail to the ring when viewed obliquely. In profile, the bezel stands above the opening of the hoop, separating the ornamental head from the simpler band below. The deposits within the grooves and the worn outer edges create an uneven contrast, preserving the appearance of an object with an altered surface.
Material: Bronze
Dimensions: 2.5 x 2 cm
Weight: 4.96 gr
