Description from the seller

This concerns a set of 6 dessert knives with handles in PUUR/FIJN silver (999/1000) in the Haags Lofje model. The Haags Lofje model originated in the 18th century from the Hollands Glad model. Because the Lofje was especially favored by the nobility at the court in The Hague, it bears the name Haags Lofje.

The Zilverfabriek Gerritsen produced table silver of 999/1000 in the latter half of the 20th century. A method devised by the silver factory to make cutlery from nearly pure silver. (Due to the purity of the silver 999/1000 = highest content = comparable to the silver content of ZILVERBAAR).

This special knife set comes from an inheritance/estate of a family from Garderen.

The knives are identically marked and form a set. Because of the purity of the silver (999/1000), these cutlery pieces with the Haags Lofje model are RARE.
