Girl on a Chair – Bronze, signed “F. Iffland Paris” – 22.2 cm

An expressive bronze sculpture of a cheerful girl on a high chair. The lively stance with legs extended, raised hand, and head tilted to the side gives the depiction a playful character. Lovingly worked-out details such as the large hair bow, the facial features, and the folds of the dress complete the composition.

The surface features a dark brown patina with lighter, bronze-colored accents on protruding areas.

Signature and markings:
Under the seat surface is the recessed signature “F. Iffland Paris,” pointing to the sculptor Franz Iffland (1862–1935). Next to it is a round brand plaque bearing the inscription “BRONZE GARANTI PARIS – J.B. DEPOSE.” On the rear of the seat frame is the marking “A 1811,” presumably a model or casting number.

Condition:
