An extremely elegant and rare collector's set of two complete decks of playing cards, issued by the French luxury house Hermès Paris (24, Faubourg Saint-Honoré, Paris).
This iconic set is designed by the famous graphic artist and typographer A.M. Cassandre and printed by the renowned master printer Draeger-Frères in France. The cards feature refined, detailed back patterns in deep red and cobalt blue with gold accents, as well as beautifully illustrated aces.
The whole is supplied in the original classic orange Hermès storage case and the accompanying individual sleeves.

Condition
The set is overall in exceptionally good vintage condition. The cards have remained very neat, crisp and bright in colour.
To give a full and fair picture, the only two minor defects are as follows (see also the detailed photos):
1. Card: One specific card (the Draeger-Frères title card) has along the bottom edge a small, light crease/bend.
2. Sleeve: In one of the two loose card boxes, a strip of cardboard along the top edge seam is slightly coming loose.
