Comic book title Après Tintin en Amerique by Hergé, in very good condition, limited and numbered edition, published by Tintinabulles, oldest item from 2020, 1 item.
Description from the seller
Since its creation in 1929 in the pages of Le Petit Vingtième, Tintin's renown has continued to spread worldwide. The little reporter born from Hergé's imagination has become an timeless and universal myth. The Adventures of Tintin comprise only 24 albums, but they have generated hundreds of works, studies and articles devoted to the sources and influences of their creator. Curiously, few authors have looked into the “extensions” of his work.
Today, The Adventures of Tintin are anchored in people's minds, practically everywhere on the planet, to the point of forming a true broadly popular myth almost universal. The reader knows immediately which album any image, allusion or Tintin-like quotation refers to, and what interpretation to give it in the context of its use.
The present work aims to sketch (non-exhaustive) a portrait of the main real or imaginary extensions of Hergé's album, from parody to political or social caricature, including homage or the simple wink.
