Description from the seller
Five-piece tea and coffee service in solid silver 800 - Italy (Vicenza, Rossi e Arcandi Snc?), circa 1960 - 2.673 kg
Complete five-piece tea and coffee service in heavy silver with 800 fineness, made in Italy (likely the Vicenza jewelry district) around the late 1950s to the 1960s.
The set stands out for a refined classical design, characterized by bulging bodies and handles and finishes with torciglione/cord work. The lids of the teapot, coffee pot, and sugar bowl are topped by decorative knobs finely worked.
Composition of the lot and approximate dimensions:
* 1 coffee pot with lid
* 1 teapot with lid
* 1 sugar bowl with lid
* 1 milk jug
* 1 large serving tray accompanying
Technical details and marks:
* Material: Solid silver 800 (punch "800" inside the oval clearly visible on every piece).
* Silvermaker identification: the lozenge-shaped punch appears to be "266 VI", corresponding to a historic artisanal workshop registered in Vicenza, Rossi e Arcandi Snc
* Total weight of the lot: 2673 grams (weight verified on a digital scale, see photo).
Condition of the item:
The service presents in good overall aesthetic condition. Being an authentic antique item, it shows the usual light signs of time and use (small superficial scratches from contact and a light natural oxidation patina), which attest to its history and authenticity without compromising its beauty or solidity. No significant dents or deformation.
The numerous attached photos are an integral part of the description and show the details of each piece, including the state marks and the silversmith marks.
