An elegant French Limoges porcelain plate by the prestigious manufacture A. Raynaud & Cie, beautifully finished with a solid silver rim attributed to the renowned Parisian silversmith Tétard Frères.
This refined plate features the celebrated Compagnie des Indes decoration, inspired by the exquisite Chinese famille rose porcelain imported into Europe during the 18th century through the great trading companies.
The delicate floral composition displays magnificent pink peonies, small cobalt-blue flowers, green foliage and finely detailed botanical motifs against a luminous white porcelain background.
A richly ornamented floral border, outlined with graceful black scrollwork, surrounds the central decoration. The vibrant colours and intricate detailing beautifully evoke the elegance of historic Chinese export porcelain.
