Description from the seller

Exceptional and rare hanging lamp model "Tinta", designed in 1971 by the renowned designers Renato Toso and Noti Massari for the historic Italian glassworks Leucos.

A true masterpiece of Space Age design and Murano craftsmanship. The lamp is characterized by a massive, thick mouth-blown Murano glass dome. The upper part, in an elegant and opaque glossy black glass, smoothly fades downward, transforming into a spectacular mosaic of multicolored glass tesserae (large murrine). When lit, the lower band creates a breathtaking play of light and color, typical of Leucos’ best 1970s productions.

The object is presented in excellent vintage condition, free of chips, cracks, or breaks. Note the presence of a suggestive natural air bubble embedded within the thick transparent glass mass (visible in the detail photos). This is by no means a defect; it is the intrinsic characteristic and the ultimate guarantee of authentic mouth-blown glasswork and artisanal craftsmanship, which makes it unique.

Original wiring from the period, featuring the characteristic spiral "telephone" cord, consistent with the production era. A check of the electrical system is always recommended to adapt it to modern standards.

Impressive dimensions and considerable weight (about 7 kg of solid glass). A museum-quality collectible piece, ideal for enriching spaces with refined design.

The packaging will be expertly crafted to measure, with professional materials to ensure the glass arrives completely intact. Tracked and insured shipping.
