Circa 1900 (Late 19th century / transition to the early 20th century),

Elegant jardinière or oval-shaped centerpiece in cast bronze and chiselled, featuring a rich dark patina aged with subtle natural gold reflections. The cup, with a rim cut in the shape of a vegetal crown, is entirely lavish in relief and pierced ornaments with motifs of spiraled volutes, shells and garlands of foliage. The piece rests on four legs formed as three-dimensional figures of putti (cherubs) sculpted, which seem to raise the piece with their arms.
