Description from the seller

The name Rethondes was very well known from Art Nouveau to Art Deco. Glass production under the name Rethondes was often carried out in practice in collaboration with the renowned glass factory Degué, founded by David Guéron in Paris. Rethondes glassware is recognizable by its marbled effect and vivid color combinations. The decorative wrought iron complements the transition from Art Nouveau to Art Deco. This chandelier consists of a central shade and three glass-paste bowls. Each piece is signed with the name Rethondes. The chandelier still has the original French fittings (B 22). These fittings can of course be easily replaced by current fittings (modern EU standards), but the old ones are also still available in certain lighting shops or simply via the internet (e.g., Bol.com, Amazon.com, Lampdirect Belgium and other sites). The chandelier is in very good condition and is probably more than a hundred years old. The materials used are an elegant wrought-iron frame, a central shade, and three glass-paste bowls. The origin is France. The main colors are mainly mauve and marbled white. The height is approximately 70 cm excluding the shade, and the diameter of the wrought iron is about 40 cm, not counting the three curled arms from which the bowls hang. The chandelier is shipped exclusively within the European Union.
