Vintage Danish Teak Record Cabinet / Bar Cabinet - With drop-front - 1960s
Description:
Vintage teak cabinet with drop-front, probably Danish, ca. 1960-1965. This type of cabinet was used as a record cabinet for LPs, a drinks cabinet/bar, or for storing small furniture pieces.
Characteristic mid-century design with tapered legs, brass piano hinge across the full width and original metal handle.
The cabinet has a beautiful warm teak grain and a compact size, suitable as a nightstand, side table or small bar, or of course for a stereo/turntable.
Condition:
Used vintage condition, see photos - consistent with age and use.
• Top surface with light signs of use and scratches
• Right front/side with clearly visible dark scorch / burn mark (see detail photos)
• Bottom side with small corner damage / veneer damage
• Interior with signs of wear, extra mounted shelf supports (not original) and a rectangular cut-out cable pass-through at the back (see interior photo)
• Feet and fittings original and solid, drop-front functions. Feet are easy to dismantle.
