Autographed 1926 Italian letter by Achille Starace from San Pietro Vernotico, Lecce, with Chamber of Deputies letterhead and envelope, addressed to a Commendatore regarding an engineer for the Acquedotto Pugliese.
Description from the seller
Interesting and uncommon autograph letter by Achille Starace, Mussolini’s most loyal man who would accompany him to his death! The peculiarity lies in the fact that it was sent during a period of genuine transition, i.e., in the year when Starace held the position of Deputy of the Kingdom and San Pietro Vernotico was still part of the province of Lecce (the following year, Starace would return to lead the Party and the province of Brindisi would be created, to which the town still belongs). A recommendation letter sent personally to Starace by a Commendatore for the appointment of an Engineer to the staff of the Acquedotto Pugliese, to which he responds, indeed, personally. Note the peculiarity of the letterhead of the Chamber of Deputies (also in watermark) and the envelope, usually not easy to find together! The last photo depicts Achille Starace (source: Wikipedia). The letter this year has turned 100 years old, which I hope will be “celebrated” in a new collection that will do it honor! Very good/good condition, obviously ORIGINAL GUARANTEED, as with all my autographs for sale (see other auctions for combined shipping). Express Courier shipping in Italy and abroad.
