I am offering here a beautiful original armchair / lounge chair by designer Josef Hillerbrand for Wilkhahn from the 1960s.

The chair impresses with its extraordinarily elegant and organic form language with the typically high-quality Mid-Century aesthetic of German post-war modernism. Particularly characteristic are the very soft, rounded and almost sculptural shapes of the armrests as well as of the entire wooden construction, which looks as if cast from a single mold.

The streamlined curved armrests give the chair a particularly harmonious and delicate appearance. The slightly reclined seat and back surface create an exceptionally pleasant and relaxed seating comfort.

The warm teak wood harmonizes wonderfully with the soft, delicate and very elegant cream-colored leather upholstery and gives the piece a timeless and high-end aura.

Also of particularly high quality is the upholstery: The chair features a comfortable pocket-spring upholstery, which provides a pleasantly soft yet supportive seating feel.

Despite its light and delicate appearance, the chair is built sturdy and well-made. Wood and leather upholstery are in very good vintage condition with lovely age-related patina and only minor signs of use.
