Description from the seller
Refined, lively and exceptionally complete dining service made by the prestigious Villeroy & Boch manufactory in the famous Bali pattern. This collection stands out for a wonderful botanical decor with a Mediterranean flair, featuring sunlit lemons, fresh walnuts, delicate flowers and shaded leaves, finely framed by a slim brick-red/bordeaux perimeter thread.
Made in the renowned Vitro-Porcelaine of the house, the body of this service proves extremely fine, thin and surprisingly light to the touch, giving each piece a superior refinement without sacrificing the typical gloss and durability. It combines the charm of grand antique porcelain with extraordinary handling ease and table elegance.

* 1 Large Round Serving Plate, 34 cm Ø
* 1 Large Large Oval Serving Plate, 43.5 x 32 cm

The Villeroy & Boch Factory – Septfontaines (Luxembourg)
The mark on the bottom (Ancienne Manufacture Impériale et Royale Fondée en 1767 - Made in Luxembourg) certifies historic production at the Septfontaines facilities in Luxembourg. Founded in the eighteenth century and awarded the title Imperial and Royal Manufacture by Empress Maria Theresa of Austria, Villeroy & Boch represents one of the highest pinnacles of European ceramic art. The Bali pattern, now out of production, is increasingly rare to find in such extensive compositions, and is one of the most beloved and elegant botanical/fruit series of the maison.
Condition
The service presents itself in excellent vintage condition. The porcelain, extremely fine and light, retains its glossy glaze intact and the colors of the botanical decorations are extraordinarily vivid and well defined. No chips, cracks or crazing are found on the pieces. A set preserved with immense care over time.
Shipping
Given the exceptional size of the lot (54 pieces) and the presence of important serving pieces, shipping will be organized with maximum safety packaging (dividing into multiple reinforced double-wall boxes). Each piece will be individually protected with thick bubble wrap. Tracked shipping with express courier.
Seller's Story
Vintage ceramics and porcelains are often worked and decorated with masterful precision and delicacy, they are objects of timeless charm, the result of knowledge handed down and widespread. From a historical and cultural point of view, they represent an extraordinary combination of craftsmanship and art, which takes the form of works of rare beauty.
An authentic passion that drives me to identify shapes, models and decorations and to identify a possible or certain dating of the objects through a continuous study of sources and archives.
