Baroque Reliquary - Wood, Paper, Textile, Metal - 1750-1800 - Saint Aloysius Gonzaga and Saint John the Baptist - Blessed Virgin Mary - 45 cm

Beautiful ostensorium reliquary in carved and gilded wood, dating from the 18th century (Baroque or late Italian Baroque).
Altar reliquary with carved, shaped and gilded wood, with acanthus leaf motifs and curls typical of Baroque/Rococo style.
It features two reliquaries:
The first in the upper part consisting of Saint Aloysius Gonzaga and Saint John the Baptist with silk threads and seal visible in the photo, and the second (lower part) of the Blessed Virgin Mary, also complete.

Clearly, given its age there are small losses and wormholes typical of ancient wooden artifacts.

The reliquary does not contain human remains.
