Elegant French console of prestige and representation, dating from the 19th century, in Napoleon III style, characterized by refined decorative craftsmanship according to the Boulle inlay technique. A piece with great charm and sophistication, capable of combining aesthetic elegance and functionality thanks to its transformation into a game table.

The structure features a black finish enhanced by elaborate inlays with floral motifs, scrolls, and arabesques, realized with refined color contrasts in gold and red tones. The upper top, with its characteristic curved silhouette, is decorated by a rich ornamental interlace with a central symmetric composition, framed by an elegant perimeter border in gilded bronze.

The front panel, harmoniously shaped, reiterates the top’s decorations through refined vegetal motifs on a red background, while the four arched legs, typical of French taste of the era, are enriched with decorative metal fittings depicting female figures and decorative foot endings in gilded metal.

Particularly interesting is the transformable mechanism: the upper top opens like a book, revealing a gaming surface covered in green felt. The structure also features an internal compartment accessible by sliding the top, offering an additional element of functionality.

The sinuous lines, the richness of the Boulle inlays, and the elegant contrast between the black finish and the gilded decorations confer a scenographic and refined presence to the furniture.
