Lima H0 - Train set (1)

Up for auction, a fascinating and nostalgic vintage HO scale train set (1:87) produced by the famous Italian company Lima Models (Vicenza, Italy). It is the classic passenger car box characterized by code 1-40 3030C, dating from the early 1980s, ideal for both nostalgic enthusiasts and collectors of vintage railway modeling.
The lot consists of:
• 1x Diesel locomotive in the distinctive fuchsia/pink, gray livery with yellow inserts.
• 3x passenger cars with bogies in gray and burgundy.
• 1x Battery Control speed regulator (Model 012) operational with batteries, forward/reverse switch and stop.
• 1x Complete set of curved rails to form a full oval circuit (diameter approximately 75 cm).
• Original instruction sheet ("Directions Anleitung") bilingual.
• Complete original box with inner foam insert molded to fit.
Aesthetic conditions and technical notes:
The set presents itself in excellent overall cosmetic condition. The cars and the locomotive retain bright colors and show no obvious damage. The inner foam insert is excellent and has perfectly protected the contents over time. The outer cardboard box shows normal age- and storage-related wear (slight creases and small folds at the edges, as visible in the photos), but preserves the splendid period graphics on the front and back.
• Operation: The set has not been electrically or mechanically tested. It is therefore sold as a collectible item in its current state ("as is"), to be serviced or used for display.
