Description from the seller
Leica IIIc 35mm rangefinder camera by Ernst Leitz Wetzlar, Germany, with original Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Summitar 1:2/5cm lens in Leica screw mount/LTM.
.
The camera bears serial number 490497 and the lens bears serial number 939105. A beautiful classic Leica set with the characteristic chrome/black finish, separate viewfinder and rangefinder windows, and the well-known collapsible Summitar 5cm f/2 lens.
The camera has been film-tested and found to function at all shutter speeds. Shutter, film transport, rewind, and controls function well. The lens focuses smoothly and the aperture works correctly. The glass is nicely clean.
In appearance the set is in neat used condition with normal signs of age and use: light scratches, patina and some wear on the metal parts. The bottom plate shows visible remnants and wear from an old sticker. The camera has a fine authentic look without losing its collectible value.
A highly collectible and usable Leica IIIc with Summitar 5cm f/2, suitable for collectors and analog Leica enthusiasts who actually want to use the camera.
