Description from the seller
Large Art Deco-style table lamp (63 cm) - "Danseuse à la coupe" after Max Le Verrier - Heavy quality with marble base
For auction: A stunning, large and atmospheric Art Deco style table lamp, titled "Danseuse à la coupe" (Dancer with a bowl). This iconic design is inspired by the world-famous original by French sculptor Max Le Verrier from the 1920s-1930s.
This is a high-quality, heavy reproduction (presumably from the last quarter of the 20th century) of the large model. The figure of the graceful dancer is cast from solid metal and finished with a classic, deep green patina. The figure stands on a beautiful, stepped, solid marble pedestal.
The large, frosted glass shade (light cap) rests loosely in the metal ring and is easily removable. The bottom side of this ring is equipped with an integrated milk-glass plate that neatly conceals the socket from view and provides a very warm, diffuse light distribution. The lamp is fitted with a modern E14 socket (suitable for LED) and is in a beautiful, fully working condition.
