Description from the seller
Splendid dessert or fruit set for 6 people produced by the Richard Ginori manufactory, model Antico Doccia. The plates are in excellent condition. The mark they bear is in green, from the early 2000s.
The model is the timeless "Antico Doccia", one of the most famous shapes of the prestigious Richard Ginori manufactory.
A classic-lines table service, Doccia is the place where in 1735, from the artistic and entrepreneurial insight of Marquis Carlo Ginori, the historic Manifattura was born, the factory of white gold. The Doccia shape defines the deepest essence, which identifies the manufactory in the world as a Maison of excellence in pure porcelain and design. Curved lines and a profile inspired by Florentine late-Baroque silverware make Doccia a timeless collection. The essential white evokes a sense of coming home, to a place all our own, timeless in its beauty.
The set consists of:
6 flat plates
1 service plate 26 cm
Excellent overall condition, slight defects on the tray.
Rare item.
Seller's Story
My name is Riccardo. I recently graduated in Art History from the University of Florence and I am passionate about porcelain. From tableware to artistic vases, from figurines to tea and coffee sets, I am fascinated by the mastery and creativity of great artisans and designers who manage to shape this fragile material, transforming a rough mass into masterpieces with a story to tell. During my years at university I began to become interested in the history of nineteenth- and twentieth-century tableware; today, every day, I deal with prestigious porcelain pieces that always have something to say to me and to those who purchase them. I love that every day I can discover more about the objects I find while traveling around Italy, always learning something new. I always try to convey to my clients this passion I have for the objects I sell, certain that each of them has a story to tell: that of the creator, that of the one who preserved it, and that of the person who will give it a new life.
