Description from the seller

Take a good look at all the photos.

The Black-footed Marten or Japanese Marten (ニホンテン, Nihon-ten?) (Martes melampus) is a carnivorous mammal of the mustelid family, in the genus Martes. Endemic to the Japanese archipelago. This species, very rare and difficult to observe, is renowned for changing its appearance completely between its summer and winter fur.

Taxidermy in excellent condition, sublime.

Mounted on a log, itself fixed to a plaster base to display, the colors and expression of the animal are sublime. The coat, very dense, is exquisitely soft.

The last shot shows this unmounted specimen exhibited in a gallery in Japan.
The mounting was carried out by a professional in France.

An object of great tenderness, specialists rate this specimen as the most difficult to obtain among the various martens. It could not be present for You, here and only here, on Catawiki.

Not to be missed.

(All our packages are secured with materials specifically adapted, and sent via Colissimo, with the tracking number provided, no later than the day after your payment, excluding weekends and public holidays).
