The Leica APO-Macro-Elmarit-R 100mm f/2.8 represents one of the most refined macro optics ever built by Leica for the R system. Designed and made in Germany, it is valued for its extraordinary apochromatic correction, exceptional sharpness even wide open, and highly faithful color rendition—features that have made it a reference point both in macro photography and in high-level portraiture.
The specimen offered is in excellent cosmetic and functional condition. The barrel retains a uniform finish with normal and very minor signs of use compatible with careful handling, while the focus and aperture rings slide smoothly and precisely, offering the mechanical quality typical of Leica production.
The lenses are clean and transparent, free of noticeable scratches, mold, or visible hazing in photographs. The Leica R bayonet is in excellent condition and guarantees proper coupling with the camera body.
The lens is equipped with the integrated telescopic lens hood, an elegant and practical solution that reduces bulk during transport, and it comes with the original Leica front and rear caps.
