Description from the seller

Elegant Royal Copenhagen Blue Fluted Half Lace porcelain dish, hand-painted in the classic cobalt-blue underglaze decoration on white fluted porcelain.

The Blue Fluted Half Lace pattern was created in 1888 by Royal Copenhagen artistic director Arnold Krog. The design is distinguished by its delicate hand-painted floral decoration and characteristic lace-like border, one of the most recognizable expressions of Royal Copenhagen craftsmanship.

This particular piece has a highly decorative shaped form with raised, curved edges and an elaborate Half Lace border. The central decoration consists of finely painted floral and foliate motifs in varying shades of cobalt blue, complemented by the characteristic scalloped and dotted lace ornament around the rim.

The underside bears the Royal Copenhagen Denmark factory mark, the characteristic three blue wavy lines, as well as hand-painted painter/production marks.

Dimensions: approximately 19 × 18 × 6 cm

The piece presents beautifully and is suitable both for use and display, as well as for collectors of Royal Copenhagen porcelain.

Condition is shown in the photographs. There may be minor traces of age, handling or wear consistent with a pre-owned porcelain piece, particularly to the underside/base. Please examine all photographs carefully as they form an integral part of the description.

The item will be carefully and securely packed for shipment.
