AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Wall mirror in carved and gilded wood - 19th century, Rococo style.

Vertical-format mirror, with a cut, openwork frame, lavishly ornamented with volutes, acanthus leaves and floral motifs. The upper crest develops into a composition of foliage and scrolls, flanked by small flowers, extending sideways by vegetal pendants.

The interior frame, with a molded profile and serpentine contour, presents a pearled surround that follows the beveled glass. The lower decoration reprises acanthus and volute motifs, giving balance to the composition.

The gilding presents warm tones and areas of wear that accentuate the relief of the ornamentation.
