Description from the seller
Superb original work (gouache / tempera on cardboard) signed by the famous Italian illustrator and poster artist Severino Baraldi.
This original illustration was created for the famous Italian magazine Famiglia Cristiana (No. 20), as evidenced by the handwritten note at the bottom of the page ("FAM. CRIST. N° 20").
The work captures a poignant and historical scene related to the confinement / COVID-19 period: masked travelers in an empty train station alongside ducks that have reclaimed public space.
- Severino Baraldi (1930-2023)
- Gouache / tempera and pencil on sturdy drawing paper / art board
- Signed "S. BARALDI" at the bottom left. Studio stamp on the back ("Disegno di proprietà dell'autore - Severino Baraldi - Milano").
- 31 x 35 cm (overall sheet dimensions)
- Publisher / Publication: Edizioni San Paolo / Famiglia Cristiana
Excellent condition. Vivid colors, perfect preservation. Preserved in its original studio condition, without a frame.
Fast and efficient shipping.
