Alexander Smith, Birmingham - Candlestick (2) - .925 silver, sterling - 28.9 cm H. Kandelaar

A magnificent pair of sterling silver candlesticks from the Queen Elizabeth period. They are in Corinthian column style with a stepped base, beaded borders on the base, plain panelled columns, and very fine applied lion-mask decoration on each corner.

The dimensions of this pair of hand made antique inspired silver candlesticks are:
Height: 28.9 cm
Base width: 10.2 × 10.2 cm
Approx. 366 + 374 = 740 grams (unweighted, 23.9 troy ounces). (Sconces together weigh 55 grams).

Condition: Good condition. Tiny pinprick indentations here and there. Both have a Hebrew inscription on one side on the base.
