Description from the seller
The Mad Doctor
Mickey Mouse and Pluto Pair of Original Animation Drawings
(Walt Disney, 1933)
"Pluto! Pluto!" Mickey wakes up from a terrible nightmare and calls for his dog Pluto in this original 12 field animation drawing from co-directors David Hand (1900 - 1986) and Wilfred Jackson (1906 - 1988) short titled The Mad Doctor. Theatrically released over 90 years ago on 1/20/1933, this animated short sees Mickey asleep on a dark and stormy night but is awoken by muffled noise coming from Pluto's doghouse. Mickey soon discovers that Pluto was taken away to a spooky mansion by a mad scientist with wicked schemes in mind. Mickey gives chase only to get lost the deeper into the mansion he goes but eventually finds himself on the operating table of the mad doctor with no hope of escaping. While terribly frightened, Mickey wakes up to realize it was all a nightmare and it ends with happy conclusion as Pluto jumps through the window, dragging his doghouse behind him and greeting his master with doggy "kisses".
Mickey's hand-drawn figure and Pluto hand-drawn figure can be seen between the 6:18 - 6:22 timestamp of the episode of the short and is rendered in graphite with colored pencil on 2-peg hole animation paper. The overall condition is Very Good with some age-related toning, and light handling wear and edge wear.
