Fork - Enamel, Silver

A double-headed fruit or olive fork in 84 zolotnik silver with a polychrome enamel handle, made in Imperial Russia circa 1900. The handle is decorated on both faces with colored enamel applied in a manner typical of Russian workshop production of the late Imperial era. The piece is stamped with the Russian 84 silver purity mark and a maker's stamp; the specific maker and assay city have not been resolved from the marks visible in current photographs. Weight is 19.9 grams; length is 13.3 cm. Condition is Good: light wear and age-consistent patina are present throughout, as expected of a piece approximately 125 years old. No other damage or restoration is known.
