Volkswagen Transporter T1 from 1972, located in Spain, with 20,000 km, Spanish registration, manual transmission, gasoline, white, 50 HP, no CoC, valid MOT, overall acceptable condition.
Description from the seller
GENERAL:
This precious 1972 Volkswagen T1 is available to be enjoyed. The odometer shows 20,000 kilometers.
Historical note: The Volkswagen Transporter T1 is one of the greatest icons in automotive history, worldwide associated with the countercultural movement of the 60s and 70s. Although production of the T1 ended in Germany in 1967 with the arrival of the T2, at the Volkswagen do Brasil plant the T1 continued to be manufactured (with subtle modifications and specific windows) until 1975. This makes early-70s units particularly curious and sought-after, combining the aesthetic charm of the original Split-Screen design (split windshield) with the brand’s traditional mechanical robustness.
BODYWORK AND PAINT:
Its bodywork presents a very good visual appearance, though it should be noted that its restoration was not performed by a professional expert. It underwent an aesthetic facelift in which a lot of filler was used, so it currently shows some cracks. We could define the overall condition of the body as acceptable, but it does not have a professional-level restoration.
MECHANICS:
Its mechanicals work perfectly. A complete maintenance has recently been carried out, including replacement of the fuel pump and carburetor adjustment. The braking system functions correctly and all electrical components, such as lights and indicators, work perfectly.
INTERIOR:
The interior is in much better condition than the exterior. All seats have been reupholstered, it can be converted into a bed, and it has a table for inside dining. The carpets were also replaced at some point and are kept in very good condition.
DOCUMENTATION:
The vehicle has all documentation in order, fully ready to be transferred in Spain or to arrange its export de-registration to any other country.
PICKUP:
The vehicle is available for pickup in Olot, Girona province (Catalonia), Spain. There is the possibility of organizing transportation to any point in Europe under a personalized budget.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
